Less teams with more individual attention leads to faster development and a high level of growth — this is what is different about the Wichita Aeros. We are able to spend more time creating drills and plans for each player’s improvement based on our staff’s analytics and charting. All of this ultimately helps prepare players for success at the next level.
Matt Jordan helped found the Wichita Aeros Baseball Club in 2015. In addition to coaching one of the high school teams, Matt oversees operations, pitching instruction and overall team development.
Matt is originally from Los Angeles, CA where he grew up and played baseball in high school and college. As a high school player, Jordan won the LA City Championship in 2012 as a captain of the Cleveland HS team at Dodger Stadium, played for the Dodger Elite team for 2011, played on the Cincinnati Reds scout team throughout his junior and senior years, was invited to the Area Code games, and won both a state and western regional championship in the America Legion postseason tournament, finishing 4th in the country.
After that he went to junior college, playing at Los Angeles Valley College winning the Western State Conference championship and going to the state tournament. Coach Jordan earned a scholarship to Newman University where he became a starting pitcher for 2 years finishing his athletic career. To continue being involved with the game he loves, Matt then became the general manager and a coach for the Wichita Reds summer team before going to Fielder’s Choice to start his own organization called the Wichita Aeros in 2015.
Coach Jordan has coached 3 players who have been drafted and many others who’ve earned scholarships to different colleges. Matt is also currently the head coach at Circle High School.
Jeff graduated from North High School and went on to play college ball at Newman University, where he graduated with a degree in business management. After college, he went on to play with the Whitesands Pupfish (NM) and the Rincon Turistas in Puerto Rico. When his playing career ended, he became the assistant coach for Circle High School, where they set the school record for wins, and is now the current Head Baseball Coach for Life Prep Academy High School.
Jeff is also a Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and runs baseball specific strength and speed programs for high school and college players. He is the Hitting Coordinator for the Wichita Aeros Baseball Academy and coaches their 18U team. Jeff is also an instructor at Fielders Choice where he specializes in hitting and fielding instruction for players of all ages. He is also the GM of the Park city Rangers collegiate summer team.
The Wichita Aeros Baseball Club was established in 2015 to provide elite skilled high school athletes the opportunity to compete together on a national stage against the country’s top competition while showcasing their own abilities to all levels of college and MLB scouts and recruiters. Since then, we have expanded into youth teams as well in order to help them make the tough transition to high school. Our goal is that every Aeros member receives a college baseball scholarship to help further their education and career.
